Kappa Arare

We succeeded in making "arare" (cube-shaped rice crackers) from flour, and released them under the name "Kappa Arare", featuring a kappa (legendary Japanese monster) character by the artist Kon Shimizu.

Kappa Ebisen

Raw shrimp were kneaded into flour dough to produce this innovative snack. It proved a big success around the country.

Masked Rider Snack (with cards) 召ISHIMORI PRODUCTION INC. and TOEI COMPANY, LTD.

Collaboration with a popular TV show triggered a card-collecting boom.

Sapporo Potato (now Sapporo Potato Tsubutsubu Vegetable)

This was released as Calbee。ヌs first product using potatoes, bearing the name of the city, Sapporo, which is best known as the production center for potatoes in Hokkaido.

Professional Baseball Snack (with cards)

This was released to follow the popularity of the cards inserted with the Masked Rider Snack. The memorable first card featured Japanese baseball player Shigeo Nagashima.

Sapporo Potato Barbecue Flavor

Barbecue is abbreviated as BBQ in the U.S., the home of barbecue. We used only the letter Q in the product name to create something different and easy to remember.

Potato Chips: Lightly Salted

Entered into full-scale potato business by the launch of potato chips. TVCF 。ネYou can buy Calbee。ヌs potato chips with 。100, but you can。ヌt buy 。100 with Calbee。ヌs potato chips。ノ became quite popular words in Japan.

Potato Chips: Seaweed Salted

Seaweed-salt flavor was a second product line.

Potato Chips: Consomm将ア Punch

。ネPunchy。ノ was a buzzword at that time, meaning 。ネvigorous。ノ or 。ネhaving drive.。ノ So this new product was named Consommè Punch to give a lively sense of taste.

Cheese Bit

Very skillful combination of delicious corn and cheese taste became a nationwide hit. The cute little almond shape has not been changed from the original release.

Osatsu Snack

This light and airy snack was made from sweet potatoes, which were popular among all age groups.

Green Snack (now Vege-Taberu)

Green Snack, the precursor of Vege-Taberu, used the leaves of Japanese radish, onion, pumpkin, green pepper, and other ingredients.  (Now Vege-Taberu includes spinach, carrot, green pepper, tomato, pumpkin, mulukhiya, broccoli, and other ingredients.)

A La Potato: Lightly Salted   A La Potato: Japanese Flavor

These were launched as potato chips made exclusively from Hokkaido potatoes. They are still very popular as regular products in autumn and winter.

Granola   Brown Sugar

Calbee entered into cereal business.  Cereals were very popular as a staple food in the U.S.. Calbee cereal was marketed after continuous research and development seeking to produce cereal to meet Japanese taste preference.

Yakimorokoshi Corn Snack

With corn grits (crushed corn) as the major ingredient, Calbee for the first time utilized  extruders to make this product. The manufacturing method has not changed since then.

Fruits Granola

Cereal gradually became accepted as a breakfast food among Japanese. Fruits Granola was launched in the hopes of supporting the healthy life of active and working women.

Toppin。ヌ Choco

This came in a friendly package that would attract children and let them consume the nutrients they need at breakfast time.
  (It is currently available in a package featuring Peanuts character)

Pizza Potato Chips

This product won great popularity due to Calbee。ヌs original technology of producing freshly fried hot potato chips with cheese melted on top.

J-League Chips (with Cards)

With the J-League。ヌs inauguration in May 1993, 。ネSoccer Chips。ノ was renamed to J-League Chips. The 10 kinds of package design featuring 10 characters of the each soccer clubs competing in the inaugural season were widely popular.

Sayaendo

This snow pea snack came in a pitted, uneven shape that resembles a snow pea。ヌs pod. The package。ヌs character also appeared on a TV commercial and became a popular favorite.

Traditionally fried Potato Chips 。ネKata-Age Potato。ノ

Thickly sliced potatoes fried slowly in a kettle with a traditional method.  At that time, this brand was only sold locally in Hokkaido and Tohoku region.

Natsu Potato: Lightly Salted   Natsu Potato: Plum Flavor

These potato chips are made from new potatoes harvested in summer.
They are now the popular snacks in summer.

Choco Puffy

This came in a package featuring Peanuts characters, which were hugely popular among children.

Jagarico Salad

Calbee used its original method of frying steamed potatoes to offer a crispy texture and pronounced potato flavor of this unique brand. It became a pioneering product, offering a snack in a cup.

Gizagiza Potato: Lightly Salted Gizagiza Potato: Chicken Consomm将ア

These thickly sliced, roughly jagged potato chips are filling enough to satisfy your cravings.

Kids Kappa Ebisen from 1 year old

In pursuit of Kappa Ebisen that small children can enjoy safely, Calbee produced this half-salt, oil-free product based on comments from mothers.

Jagabee

Whole potatoes cut in their skins offered a new texture never seen before; simply salted to highlight the quintessential taste of potatoes.
