Company name changed to Calbee Confectionery Co., Ltd.
Company name origin
Calbee, the company name, is a portmanteau of "calcium" and "vitamin B1." Calcium is one of the representative nutritive minerals, while vitamin B1 is a major nutrient in the vitamin B family. The name was chosen in order to declare the corporate goal of creating products that benefit people's health.
